Dennis Washington is an American industrialist who founded Washington Construction in Montana in the 1960s and built it into the Washington Companies, a group spanning mining, rail, heavy equipment, marine services and shipping, including a major interest in Canada's Seaspan. He is consistently listed among US billionaires and as the wealthiest person in Montana. Yachting and superyacht media report that he bought the 1999-built Japanese motor yacht Evergreen from Taiwanese shipping magnate Chang Yung-fa in 2007 and had her extensively rebuilt and lengthened, relaunching her as Attessa IV. Attessa IV has subsequently been reported as listed for sale by a brokerage, so ownership status should be treated as reported rather than continuously verified.
