Eldrick "Tiger" Woods is an American professional golfer regarded as one of the greatest in the sport's history, with 15 major championships and a record spell at world number one; his wealth derives largely from tournament earnings and long-running endorsement and business deals. Privacy was built by Christensen Shipyards in Vancouver, Washington and delivered in 2004 for a reported $20 million, bought through a Cayman Islands holding company, Privacy Ltd., rather than in Woods's own name. Woods subsequently sued Christensen for allegedly using his name and photographs to promote the shipyard; the case was reported as settled in his favour. He continues to be widely reported as the owner, but ownership is held corporately and has never been formally confirmed by Woods himself.
