Barry Zekelman is a Canadian billionaire businessman, executive chairman and CEO of Zekelman Industries, the North American steel pipe and tube group whose subsidiaries include Atlas Tube and Wheatland Tube; the family business was founded by his father and later sold to the Carlyle Group before the family repurchased it. Forbes lists him among the world's billionaires and notes he has owned a series of yachts named "Man of Steel." In October 2021 Steven Spielberg's 86m Oceanco Seven Seas was sold for a reported €130m/$150m and renamed Man of Steel; Bloomberg reported a Zekelman-owned firm was the buyer, and Wikipedia states his purchase was confirmed. The selling broker, Merle Wood & Associates, told Forbes it would not confirm Zekelman as the new owner, so the ownership — apparently held through a company — is widely reported rather than formally confirmed by the parties.
