Jeff Bezos founded Amazon in 1994 and built it into the world's largest online retailer; he also owns the space company Blue Origin and The Washington Post. Koru is widely reported as his yacht: a three-masted sailing yacht built by Dutch shipyard Oceanco as project Y721 and delivered in 2023, at a reported cost of around $500 million. The vessel is Cayman Islands-flagged; as is typical for yachts of this size, ownership is understood to be held through corporate structures rather than in Bezos's own name, and he has not made a public statement confirming registered ownership.
